CJ Blanks was not always the determined man many see today. As with many teens growing up in a large city, he found it hard to concentrate in school and lacked support from home. Soon after barely graduating high school, Blanks, faced with the responsibility of supporting the start of a young family decided to join the military in hopes of creating a better life for himself and his daughter.
It was in the military, where Blanks found an environment he grew not only to love, but also respect. Soon after achieving the rank of Sergeant, Blanks began spending time around career minded individuals. It was in this forum where the beginnings of Blanks Enterprise were born. In 2001 Mr. Blanks purchased his first property and entered the world of real estate.
In 2004, after researching other avenues of business, Mr. Blanks opened CJ’s House of Style in Montgomery, AL, the first of three barbershops and salons. With the success of his real estate business, and first salon, Mr. Blanks made a final push in his education and graduated in 2005 with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, subsequently landing him in a crossroad in his career path. It was here he parted ways with the military after serving eight years in full pursuit of his love for real estate and business. Moving back to Augusta, Georgia, Mr. Blanks earned his Masters in Leadership and Organization in 2007 and won teacher of the Quarter at Augusta Technical College five times during his tenure.
Currently on track to complete his Doctorate in Business Administration in 2011, Mr. Blanks is now the owner of several small businesses in the South East. CJ Blanks has persistently set new standards of excellence. He is a pillar in his community and a true businessman with a love of the free enterprise and all the opportunities it can bring.
